Game overview

Final Chance is a fast and accessible football card game inspired by the atmosphere of football in the late 1980s, the era of matches followed on the radio and imaginary leagues invented by kids with cards, notebooks, and a lot of creativity.

Up to 4 players join a soccer league before the last three weeks of matches are played. Based on the current league standings and the remaining fixtures, players must predict which of the 8 teams will win the league and place bids on the outcome of each game.

Matches are played by drawing cards from a shared deck, which players help build by contributing their own cards. Players can use their cards to make additional predictions or to influence the game results during stoppage time. The player who earns the most rewards is declared the winner.

Notes about the game

Final Chance is a game of analysis and observation, especially created for football lovers. During the game you will process information and place your bids:

• Cards revealed during the setup. You go through the first 10 cards of the League deck twice during the setup process. This gives you a fairly good overview of the teams’ strengths in play and how many occurrences there are of each card. Of course, it is possible that some cards will not be revealed, leaving that element of surprise that is always part of sports.

• Cards in your hand. These cards are not in the league deck, so you can take this important information into account for your analysis. Furthermore, you can use them to manipulate the results during stoppage time.

• Matchday cards. These cards show the upcoming matches and which teams will face each other. This information is especially important when placing a bid for the league winner.

After placing your bids, it's show time: sit down and observe the current matchday games being played. After the 90th minute, each player may play cards from their hand to change the results and obtain higher prizes. There could be some surprises!
